On the same day, the first management committee of Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology announced the establishment and held the first meeting, which reviewed and approved the constitution of Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology.

The successful conference marked the formal launch of Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology as one of the nine basic research institutions in Shenzhen, and it was a landmark event in the process of basic research and industrial development of synthetic biology in Shenzhen.
According to Chenli Liu, Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology will jointly build with Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Greater Bay Area universities and scientific research institutions to promote research cooperation and academic exchanges in Shenzhen and Hong Kong through the establishment of open topics and talent exchange. At the same time, it is simultaneously building with the "two in one" of Shenzhen's major scientific and technological infrastructure project for synthetic biology research, and promotes deep, wide-ranging, and comprehensive international cooperation in synthetic biology research at home and abroad, and promotes the "synthetic biology industry" and "Automated domestic production of high-end biological instruments" .
