CUI Jinming, Associate investigator at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, CAS, and member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, CAS. He received his Ph. D. in biochemistry from Purdue University, followed by postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine. His current research interests include directed evolution of membrane proteins, applied microbiology, and policy and ethics study of synthetic biology. He has presided over three national funds and four regional funds as a project leader.
