Haiyun GANProfessor

The regulation mechanism of epigenetic inheritance; Epigenetic inheritance regulation; The synthetic epigenome-related technologies.

Dr. Haiyun Gan received PhD in Developmental Biology from Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. He was a post-doctoral fellow at Zhiguo Zhang's lab in the Columbia University before joining St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 2018. In 2019, he joined the faculty at SIAT. His work has been published in Science, Molecular Cell, Nature Communications, eLife and other top international academic journals.

His research fields include: 1) Using system biology and synthetic biology to study the regulation mechanism of epigenetic inheritance; 2) The function of epigenetic inheritance regulation in stem cell differentiation, embryonic development, tumorigenesis and drug resistance; 3) Development and application of the synthetic epigenome-related technologies.
